MR Click is a plug-in that removes click and crackle contamination from audio recordings. It features separate processors for clicks and crackles, automatically detecting and removing these impurities. Clicks are defined as large disturbances caused by scratches or digital splices, while crackles are high-frequency scratchiness caused by dust or wear. The crackle processor includes an onset detector that prevents the de-crackling of event onsets such as snare hits or cymbal crashes.
